Aunt Julie's visit

Aunt Julie came to visit about a month ago. We had a fun weekend - a friend's Cinco de Mayo party, playing at the park, eating ice cream. All around a great weekend. And since our camera was broken - Julie was the official photographer. She sent along these great shots:

You will all be happy to know that the digital SLR is at the camera repair shop having the lens repaired AND we've ordered a new point-n-shoot. So I think its fair to say our picture taking frequency will pick up soon!

Last day of school...

Maisie's last day of her first year at "School" was today. And we had a pizza party to celebrate.

Although she wasn't so sure about it to start, Maisie really loved school after she got used to being away from home. She talked about her teachers - Laura and Debbie - all the time and would pull us down the hallway to get to her classroom.

Her teachers put together this video of pictures from the school year - its amazing how much she's grown and changed over the course of the year:

She'll be back at Shlenker this summer for a 5 week camp and the 5 mornings a week next fall...

Gone fishing...

Maisie went on what is sure to be the first of MANY fishing trips this weekend (given that her Grandma, Nanna and Papa are all known to be big fishermen/women).

We weren't certain whether she would squeal in delight at the squirmy fish or be deathly afraid of them...but I think we've determined that she is a natural born angler. Here are a few pictures:

Somehow we now have three cameras - none of which work. The SLR has a busted lens, the point-n-shoot suddenly only shoots completely black images, and our old camera (which is now officially Maisie's) has a broken screen.

Belated Birthday

As you all know, Maisie turned two last month. It has taken us a while to get this post up, but better late than never.

Maisie is a lucky little girl who got to celebrate her birthday for a full week. Two sets of cupcakes and a present every day! Not a bad way to turn 2! (Although she was a little disappointed when on Monday - there were no more presents in the present cabinet...)

A girl!
